more C's

Cars: Abandoned cars are a good shelter from the rain in emergencies but be warned that cars are not warm sleeping places in cold weather, the metal of a car gets very cold and you won't be a lot better off unless the car is in running order and you can put the heater on for brief periods without running the battery down.
I have slept in both running and non-running cars and find them cramped and lacking in privcay, if you are lucky you will have a running car with folding seats and locking doors, there you can sleep and store posessions. Some homeless people have a van, which is ideal.

I wouldn't sleep in a car now exept as shelter from rain.
I slept in an abandoned car in Hackney once to avoid the weather.

If you are very lucky and have a running car that you have a c/o address to run it from, then that is the solution to a lot of problems and a mode of transport too. Don't run a car without insurance or tax etc, you will get caught.
